Watch this short video and check out the details below to find out all of the changes to Art + Design Facilities for Fall 2020.

A lot has been changed around Art + Design in an effort to make the studios, labs, classrooms, and other facilities as safe as possible for those of you working in person this semester. As with everything these days, the situation is always evolving so some policies may be subject to change. This page will be updated regularly to reflect any changes as they occur.

As always, if you have any questions about the facilities or problems accessing something, fill out an appropriate form on the Contact Support page and the Facilities Staff will help you out!

Details on campus-wide policies and information regarding COVID-related changes can be found at https://covid19.illinois.edu/

General Changes

  • Masks will be required in all classrooms/labs/studios and public spaces (this is a University-wide policy). You will be asked to put on a mask or leave if you are working without a mask in one of our facilities.
  • Cleaning and sanitation supplies will be available in all labs. You must clean your tools and and workstations BEFORE and AFTER you use them.
  • Buildings will no longer be open 24/7.  Cardswipes on all Art + Design exterior doors (including Flagg, Noble, South Studios, and Architecture East Annex) will grant access 7am-10pm 7 days/week.

  • All classrooms and labs have been rearranged to support social distancing and reduce maximum capacity
    • You can view the classroom max capacities here.
