“Men of Change: Power. Triumph. Truth.” presented by the Smithsonian Institution, is a three-year, 10-city national touring exhibition premiering at the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center in Cincinnati.
The Smithsonian Affiliate museum will host the exhibition through December 1, 2019. Men of Change tells a narrative of America through the profiles of 25 African-American men who are icons in the country’s historical and cultural landscape. Patrick Earl Hammie is contributing a commissioned portrait of Romare Bearden, a visual artist, activist, and author known for his oil paintings and collages focused on black community, identity, and narrative.
