Industrial Design Professor, Mania Taher, Receives Two Prestigious Fellowships

We’re proud to celebrate Assistant Professor of Industrial Design, Mania Taher, on receiving two prestigious fellowships from the Humanities Research Institute (HRI) this year! She has been awarded the 2026–2027 HRI Interseminars award to collaborate with Deepasri Baul (History) to teach an exciting graduate seminar course in Spring 2027, titled “Living Between Worlds: Gender, Migration, and the City.”
Taher is also a recipient of the HRI Summer Faculty Fellowship to support her forthcoming book project on Bangladeshi immigrant women and their worldmaking in New York City. These achievements highlight her innovative scholarship and meaningful contributions to interdisciplinary research and teaching in the College of FAA!
