Ellen McDowell, 1947 BFA Painting alumna, passed away Thursday, August 17, 2023.
With other volunteers, she helped found the Daily Bread Soup Kitchen in Champaign, IL, which still thrives, serving meals to almost 400 individuals on a daily basis.
