Drawing on Anger
Eric J. Garcia is an interdisciplinary artist working in illustration, painting, sculpture, and installation. His work has been exhibited in the United States and abroad including San Francisco’s Museum of Modern Art, the Jaime Sabines Cultural Center, the Museum of Latin American Art, and the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit. He has been an artist-in-residence at the National Museum of Mexican Art, the John Michael Kohler Art Center, and the Hyde Park Art Center. He has been featured in reviews and publications such as Chicago Magazine, Art Prize, the Albuquerque Journal, and NewCity Art. He received his MFA in Painting at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and is currently living and working in Minneapolis.
