Catherine recieved her BFA (1999) in Ceramics at the University of Cincinnati and her MFA (2003) in Sculpture from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Her interests have always involved mixed media from clay and bronze to sculpture and video to porcelain and wood. She has been juried into over thirty national shows, has held regional workshops, and has been invited to guest lecture at regional colleges. As well as teaching full time since 2003, she has worked as a tile maker, a product designer and woodworker for a boutique amplifier company, and as an instructor for children's art classes. She also works diligently to find ways for her students to creatively collaborate with the community. Some ongoing collaborative projects are with CU Jazzfest and the Red Oak Rain Garden Project.
