18th and 19th century landscape painting, focusing on the interconnections between French and Brazilian art. Undergraduate in Museum Studies from Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina in Brazil, with thesis “From the Netherlands to Recife, Rio de Janeiro and Florianópolis: the path of landscape painting in Brazil,” which discussed the development and consolidation of the landscape painting genre, in both a European and Brazilian context. From the perspective presented, Brazilian landscape painting is understood as the result of the crossing of perspectives, perpetuated through traveling artists and the neoclassical tradition of Academic art, to be explored by academicism and Brazilian modern art.
