Vivienne Kim (she/her) is an artist and researcher. Under the theme of promoting equitable and sustainable human flourishing through the arts, she draws on perspectives from art education, medical and health humanities, and neuroaesthetics. Her primary interests encompass the integration of the arts and humanities as well as digital technologies into medical and patient education. In her current research, she explores how arts-based visual assessment technologies can serve as instruments for addressing epistemic injustice and cultivating well-being within the interdependent community of patients, families, and clinicians navigating cognitive instability and medical uncertainty. This trajectory is deeply personal, shaped by her own prolonged diagnostic journey.Extending her academic and artistic practice into public-facing design, she is also developing a lifestyle brand and self-care app inspired by her passion for beauty, cultural heritage, and wellness.
