Katie Blazek

Katie's Bio

Katie Blazek holds a BFA and MFA in Visual Communication Design (VCD) with a minor in User Experience Design (UXD) from Kent State University. Her research focuses on how graphic design and mediation can be used as communication-based approaches to creative problem-solving. Katie believes creative thinking can be applied to every aspect of life and often explores design theory and practice in interdisciplinary research. She spent the past 2 years teaching at Kent State and is very excited to join the University of Illinois faculty!
