Designers Are Observers and Storytellers
UK-born Shaun Fynn is a designer and photographer who resides in New York. A graduate of Central Saint Martins in London, he is the founder of StudioFYNN, a design, research, and communication agency. Fynn’s award-winning work has been exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art and the Sheila C. Johnson Design Center in New York, the Chicago Athenaeum, and the Weserberg in Bremen, Germany. It has also appeared in Fast Company, the Atlantic, the Los Angeles Times, the Guardian, Graphis, the International Design Yearbook, and the Repetorio del Design Italiano, 1950–2000. Fynn has also been a lecturer at the Art Center in Los Angeles, NID in Ahmedabad, IIT Mumbai, and the IED in Milan. He is also a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and his photo documentary book, Chandigarh Revealed/Le Corbusier’s City Today, was published in 2017 by Princeton Architectural Press.
