Students in the Arts 321 Sustainable Fashion class, led by Clinical Assistant Professor Chiara Vincenzi, took on the Nextile: Soy in Textile Design Challenge this semester 🌱, designing eco-friendly textiles using soybean-based materials like yarn and bio-leather made from production waste.
We’re excited to share that two groups were awarded winner and runner-up in the Nextile School Level Challenge! They’ll receive scholarships and advance to the National Competition!

Runner-Up Team Names: Lindsay Marion, Sophie Ducette, Jessica He, Viana Nguyen and Batik dyed green dress with global motif
