Illinois Computes and the National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA) collaborated with artist Deke Weaver on CETACEAN, a multimedia performance exploring whales, eco-anxiety, and human impact on the environment. NCSA provided data visualization and animations that enhanced the storytelling, taking the audience on a global journey of whale-related stories. The project involved over 800 students and highlighted the role of art in raising environmental awareness.
