Vivian Zapata Featured in Latino Art Beat Video
Because of COVID-9 stay-at-home orders and because most high schools, colleges, and universities are offering virtual classes, Latino Art Beat is presenting a series of informational/instructional videos meant to encourage young aspiring artists and filmmakers to enter educational programs and begin careers. Each episode focuses on a different aspect of the visual arts with real-life experiences presented by former Latino Art Beat student winners and collaborators.
In 2005 Vivian Zapata received first place in a national competition calling for the design of the official Latin Grammy Awards poster, which had entries from over 200 young artists from across the United States. Vivian received great media coverage and a scholarship and was invited to attend both the award announcement and the sixth annual Latin Grammy Awards ceremony.
