From the Director...
Welcome to a creative community where we believe art and design are foundational to our society and serve as indispensable tools for making sense of the most significant aspects of our lives. This is an intensive, intimate place for you to engage with large and significant questions confronting today’s artists, educators, designers, and historians.
At our school, we value the arts not only for their aesthetic power but as crucial drivers of innovation that reach across many disciplines. Whether you are pursuing bold ideas through material exploration and cross-disciplinary making in Studio Art or bringing skills from other fields into conversation with design research in our Design for Responsible Innovation program, you will find a rigorous and supportive environment here. From exploring the intersection of typography and emerging technologies to engaging in critical intellectual exploration of contemporary debates, our diverse programs provide a full spectrum of opportunities for discovery.
