Artist, Professor, Sketchbook Adventurer
“Andrea encourages us to dig deeper into our creativity and to believe in ourselves through it all.”
—Project 16x, Spring 2020
Andrea Slusarski (she/her) is an artist and educator from Denver, Colorado. Fascinated by how learning is impacted by creative thinking, her art and teaching processes are fueled by this curious study. Inspired by the lines found in nature and carved through snow, Andrea’s sketchbooks are filled with the images and words connected throughout the landscapes she explores. Her studio, Drawing From Nature, has collaborated with many Colorado-based companies and businesses – Osprey Packs, Feral Mountain Co., and Westfax Brewery to name a few. Her work has been published in SISU Magazine, The Art of Education, and Elevation Outdoors voters named her “Best People/Instagrammer” for the Best of the Rockies 2019.
Andrea works out of her home studio in Colorado and is an associate professor of Art Education at Rocky Mountain College of Art & Design.
