Research Interests
I am an artist based in Urbana, Illinois. I create hyperrealistic portraits in a studio setting, particularly with black and white mediums such as graphite and charcoal. My goal is to depict the spirit of my subjects and push the boundaries of traditional portraiture and drawing. Bringing portrait images to life drives me as an artist. My goal (as an artist and art educator) is to share the world of fine arts with others.
