Tim Abel brings ten years of experience in museums and non-traditional spaces to his practice and research as an artist-educator and administrator. This practice champions collaboration, inquiry, and conversation while positioning art and dialogue as a way to link critical thinking, social justice, and self-empowerment. He holds an MA in Art Therapy from New York University and an MFA from the Minneapolis College of Art Design and is currently a PhD student in Art Education at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
