How to make a reservation in the Patron Portal
First, follow the link to the Patron Portal above, or on the Checkout Window page.
Log in using your NetID and password. If you are not able to log in with those credentials, you may not have active Art & Design Facilities Access through your course enrollment. Check out the Access page to read more about A&D access policies.
Once you are logged in, to create a reservation, click on the Reserve shopping cart icon on the left navigation.
Choose Checkout Center options
Choose Checkout Window 236 from the Checkout Center options, and click OK.
Set start and end
Start by setting a start and end time for your reservation. As a reminder, most items are available for a maximum of 3 days. If you are reserving resources for different timeframes, like a camera for 3 days, and the shooting studio for 2 hours, you will want to make 2 separate reservations.

To read the Checkout Window Terms, click the blue information “I” icon, then check the checkbox to indicate that you have read and agree to the terms.
Click the green “all” checkmark box to save.
Catalog
Now, you can add resources (equipment/spaces) to your checkout. Click on the Contents “Catalog” book icon.

Resources are grouped by type or function. Choose a category to navigate to a sub-category, or specific resource.
For example, if you are looking for a Canon R6 Camera, click on Cameras> Canon Cameras > Canon EOS R6 Camera Kits.
timeline
To find a camera that is available for your desired reservation time, start by clicking the Timeline button in the middle of the screen.
The timeline will show which cameras are available, reserved, or checked out. When you have identified a camera that is available during your desired timeframe, close the timeline, and locate that camera in the list.
add to cart
To add it to your cart, click the green “add to shopping cart icon”. Once it is added, the icon turns into a red “remove from shopping cart” icon.
To locate other items to add to your reservation, use the catalog navigation at the top. When you are finished adding resources, use the “x” icon in the top right to close the catalog.
review
Review your reservation details, including the start and end times, and the resources that you have added to your cart.
If there are items that are unavailable, or the checkout or return times have errors, there will be a red bar at the top of the screen. Click the error message to read the details. You must correct the errors to proceed.
save
If there are no errors, it will read “Ready to Save” in the green bar near the top of the screen. To save, click the green “save” disk icon to the right in the green bar.

Your reservation has been saved.
If you would like to edit or cancel a reservation that you have made, start by finding your upcoming reservations from the Home screen by clicking on “Upcoming Reservations” in the gray menu on the left. Then click on the reservation you would like to edit, and then selecting the Edit or Cancel buttons in the gray menu.
